Moved

During the w/e, me and my significant other moved from our three room appartment to the house we recently bought. It has like six rooms, two bathrooms + sauna, garage, storage shed etc. It’s friggin’ huge (compared to what I’m used to anyway). The actual move was a painful experience in many ways. Mostly due to the fact that my body isn’t accustomed to that much physical labor. The only thing left now is to get the house in order. We have boxes full of stuff everywhere (I’m not kidding). Also, I’m waiting for my DSL-connection to be installed.

Spam & Greylisting

Once upon a time, spam was something delivered in a can. Nowadays, it comes in all flavors directly delivered to your mailbox. Get a bigger/longer penis, buy cheap meds, get a university diploma etc. And lets not forget all the nice letters from Nigeria. I read somewhere that spam already constitutes over 50% of all email traffic on the internet. That’s just wrong. On my own mailserver I’ve used SpamAssassin since day 1. It’s a really nice server-side filter for guessing which emails are spam and tagging them accordingly. It’s then up to your email client or some other filter to do whatever’s appropriate. However, this still requires your email server to do alot of processing. Enter a “new” technique for stopping spam at the door – Greylisting!

New site launched!

Greetings people! After testing out WordPress for a couple of weeks, I today decided to release my new site. As I mentioned, it’s powered by WordPress among other things. The current theme is designed by me with some CSS borrowed from the WordPress 1.5 default theme. I’ve also written some custom template code for the My music page.
