New (childrens) song

My son (5 months old, Sep 2005) is to become a pro musician like his father. “His father is what? Pro? Mohahahaha”. OK, maybe not “pro” but atleast some sort of hobby musician. I don’t want to pressure him of course, but my plan is to introduce music and music making gradually over the course of his upbringing. Now that I’ve written this, he’s not going to become a musician at all. I’ve jinxed it. Oh well. I’ll love him just as much. :)

Anyway, a childrens song (“Videvisan”) got stuck in my head a couple of days ago, and for the life of me, I couldn’t get rid of it. What to do? Make a cover of it. The result can be heard here: Videvisan (4.5MB). The original is (as far as I know) composed by Alice Tegnér and the lyrics are written by Zacharias Topelius (spelling?).

Enjoy!

Floaters

Hehe, I’ve always had them… but never bothered to search for an explanation. Today I found a link (on digg.com) to an excellent Wikipedia article explaining what they are and why they appear.

(Floaters are blurry, dark “shapes” that can be seen before your eyes sometimes. They float around and can’t be focused on. Read the article for more info!)

My songs – additional formats?

Right now my songs are available in variable bitrate MP3 format only. Lately I’ve been contemplating adding Ogg Vorbis and maybe even FLAC (lossless). Is this something you would like to see? Is there anyone out there reading this? Hello? :)
