Comment spam

Wow! When I published my “Hay-fever” post yesterday, I immediately got 5 comment spam. I’m not the world’s most active blogger - and probably not that interesting to the world - so this surprised me a bit. Anyway, I got me an API key, activated Akismet and today Akismet have intercepted 39 comment spam for me. Nice!

I published yesterdays post from Ecto. This is the only difference from previous posts. I’m sure Ecto had nothing to do with this though. It was just bad luck. Fortunately for me, Akismet seems like a rock solid plugin for fighting comment spam.
